In the 13th minute, FC Vitteryd's Herbert Lindman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Herbert Lindman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Vitteryd protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Herbert Lindman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A beautiful save bye FC Vitteryd's goalie prevented a goal. Ludvika RK's Rickard Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Snäll in the 21st minute of play. Rickard Snäll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rickard Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Snäll struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rickard Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Vitteryd. After 35 minutes Ludvika RK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Biagio Scarpone who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC Vitteryd's corner Biagio Scarpone fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rickard Olsson quite easily take care of the ball. After 37 played minutes FC Vitteryd got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Galle. Rickard Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Clementsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Rickard Snäll came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Vitteryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rickard Snäll couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ludvika RK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Olle Bivall hit a great ball. Olle Bivall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Rickard Snäll managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Vitteryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Snäll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Linus Lindqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filip Bjurström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cisco having to interfere. In the 62nd minute of the match, Rickard Snäll got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rickard Olsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 65 played minutes FC Vitteryd got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Scarpone. Linus Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Vitteryd's Gösta Clementsson got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Rickard Snäll took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Rickard Olsson to make any attempt to save it. Rickard Snäll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Ludvika RK's goalkeeper Rickard Olsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickard Snäll. Gösta Clementsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rickard Snäll got free with Rickard Olsson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
