The audience was convinced that Vilgot Wickander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Wall was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Sebastian Bengtsson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the game, Torgny Nordgren threw the ball into play from the sideline. Älmhult's Roger Galle quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vilgot Wickander took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Wall. Ralf Wall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilgot Wickander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mikael Tillman came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Älmhult fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Tillman couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilgot Wickander in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralf Wall saved Hjälshammar if from getting behind. Torgny Nordgren kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Federico Di Rado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikael Tillman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Wall having to interfere. Ralf Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Wickander, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 84th minute, Tomas Alrot made a precise shot to the right of Kristoffer Kinnman. Älmhult's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 90th minute, Torgny Nordgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Eric Apelquist managed to get in a good position for a shot.
