Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ionuț Budianu kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Ionuț Budianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Wahlström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marko Askelöf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marko Askelöf made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Jonas Wahlström sent off a good shot on target. After 9 minutes FC Metropol's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastian Bengtsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sebastian Bengtsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Metropol's Marko Askelöf did a great save. FC Metropol's Marko Askelöf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save FC Metropol from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute Roland Norberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kasper Fernkvist hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Sven-Oskar Uggstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Roland Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Askelöf having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, FC Metropol's Ionuț Budianu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralf Wall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jonas Wahlström made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Metropol booed when Hjälshammar if was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hjälshammar if's Sebastian Bengtsson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionuț Budianu in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralf Wall saved Hjälshammar if from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Metropol's Ingemar Alefors got a free kick in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ionuț Budianu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Metropol's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionuț Budianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Wall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the match, FC Metropol's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Norberg came free, but Marko Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jonas Wahlström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, FC Metropol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Oskar Uggstedt to maneuver through the defense. Marko Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Wahlström in the 83rd minute of the match. If Ionuț Budianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Metropol's zone, Roland Norberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marko Askelöf came out of the goal and Roland Norberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FC Metropol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Metropol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
