Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Älmhult's Vilgot Wickander started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Älmhult booed when Slangarkurvan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Östensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Östensson in the 7th minute of play forced Älmhult's goalkeeper Kristoffer Kinnman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Älmhult getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arvid Västberg hit a great ball. When Jan-Olof Vallmark fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slangarkurvan FC's protests and gave Jan-Olof Vallmark a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Slangarkurvan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Olof Vallmark to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Älmhult got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Västberg. If Vilgot Wickander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Vilgot Wickander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mathias Drewitz. Slangarkurvan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilgot Wickander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Vilgot Wickander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Drewitz having to make a save. Börje Östensson scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristoffer Kinnman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kristoffer Kinnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Östensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Slangarkurvan FC's Börje Östensson in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Älmhult's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Slangarkurvan FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Roger Söder hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Älmhult's Vilgot Wickander tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edgar Hydén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mathias Drewitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Älmhult's Kristoffer Kinnman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Lundberg in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Börje Östensson to strike the kick off in the second half. Vilgot Wickander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Älmhult's Edgar Hydén got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Eric Apelquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Arvid Västberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Älmhult's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Västberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Drewitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th match minute, Slangarkurvan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Norström to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Älmhult's goalkeeper Kristoffer Kinnman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernt Lundberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilgot Wickander in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias Drewitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the match, Slangarkurvan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Tillman came free, but Mathias Drewitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Eric Apelquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Drewitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Vilgot Wickander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mathias Drewitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Vilgot Wickander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Älmhult fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Älmhult had played much better football throughout.
