Erik Malmgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Kvalfält's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Erik Malmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Mattsson in the 17th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Northern Lights's goalkeeper Sigvard Ingvall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Basualdo. A collision led to Northern Lights getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Morgan Duset hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Fredrik Lenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Bror Utter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Allan Thedin struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Erik Malmgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northern Lights. After having played for 36 minutes, Stefan Kvalfält managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northern Lights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Kvalfält was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Blunts United getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Magnus Abrahamsson hit a great ball. Erik Malmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Thedin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Basualdo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Sigvard Ingvall skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 47th minute Allan Thedin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Malmgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 52nd minute, Blunts United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Allan Thedin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kaj Mattsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Northern Lights's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Northern Lights's Nils Brandt got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute, Nils Brandt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magnus Abrahamsson charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Abrahamsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Magnus Abrahamsson made a precise shot to the right of Sigvard Ingvall. Northern Lights's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Northern Lights's Sigvard Ingvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Abrahamsson in the 67th minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Kaj Mattsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Northern Lights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blunts United the free kick. After 73 played minutes Northern Lights got a freekick which was hit by Kaj Mattsson. Morgan Duset hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Thomas Browall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Ingvall having to interfere. Sigvard Ingvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Abrahamsson in the 78th minute of the match. Allan Thedin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erik Malmgren firmly grabbed it by the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Blunts United's Fredrik Lenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sigvard Ingvall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sigvard Ingvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Lenberg in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Northern Lights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Jansson to maneuver through the defense. Michael Wenerdahl kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Stefan Kvalfält recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blunts United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
