Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Otto Fagrell kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Gabriel Göransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Northern Lights and the Karlstad players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Northern Lights's Sigvard Ingvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Fagrell in the 7th minute of play. After 7 minutes of play Northern Lights's Gabriel Göransson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 8 played minutes Northern Lights got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Göransson. Magnus Stigsson scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sigvard Ingvall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sigvard Ingvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Fagrell in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Allan Thedin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Allan Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Beckström having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Otto Fagrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Ingvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Karlstad got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Aleberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Fagrell in the 28th minute of play forced Northern Lights's goalkeeper Sigvard Ingvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigvard Ingvall was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivar Aleberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Northern Lights's Sigvard Ingvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Fagrell in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Thedin was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Rune Ekman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northern Lights's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Ekman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksander Beckström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Allan Thedin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleksander Beckström. Karlstad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Thedin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 62 played minutes Northern Lights got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Duset. Sigvard Ingvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Stigsson in the 65th minute of the match. Rune Ekmans short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Aleksander Beckström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aleksander Beckström made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Allan Thedin sent off a good shot on target. When Morgan Duset came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Northern Lights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morgan Duset couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Northern Lights booed when Karlstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Magnus Stigsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Thedin's late challenge caught a Karlstad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allan Thedin helped the player get up and apologised. Allan Thedin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, Karlstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Aleberg to maneuver through the defense. Sigvard Ingvall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Stigsson in the 87th minute of play. If Allan Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigvard Ingvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Stigsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Thedin struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Aleksander Beckström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Northern Lights.
