After a defensive mix-up in Hjo BK's zone, Torgny Lingren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Hjortberg came out of the goal and Torgny Lingren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Askstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Hjortberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Askstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. Torgny Lingren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Askstedt in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Hjortberg saved Hjo BK from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Hjo BK's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Askstedt came free, but Marcus Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Balja BK fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Balja BK's Fred Askstedt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Kim Frisck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balja BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Frisck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Hjortberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Svante Petersson during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Svante Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Fred Askstedt, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 69 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marcus Hjortberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With his leg Marcus Hjortberg managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Balja BK's Fred Askstedt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Balja BK booed when Hjo BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Thedin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Askstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marcus Hjortberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Asklöv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hjortberg having to interfere. Balja BK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
