After 4 played minutes Bajen Fans Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Frank Fridlund. Sven Wahlström hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo-Erik Lindström in the 15th minute of play forced Bajen Fans Talanger's goalkeeper Georg Torsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Norrahammar IFK booed when Bajen Fans Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Wahlström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Frank Jakobsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Torsberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norrahammar IFK's Andy Göransson got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andy Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Georg Torsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Lundin in the 32nd minute of play forced Norrahammar IFK's goalkeeper Henry Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georg Torsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Göransson in the 34th minute of the match. Bo-Erik Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andy Göransson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Torsberg. Georg Torsberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Georg Torsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo-Erik Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Bajen Fans Talanger's goalkeeper Georg Torsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Göransson. Andy Göransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Georg Torsberg made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Bajen Fans Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Lindström came free, but Georg Torsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bo-Erik Lindström to make the kick off. When Norrahammar IFK's Bo-Erik Lindström in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bajen Fans Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Beckström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Blomberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Lundin in the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Norrahammar IFK's Jörgen Lindqvist got a free kick in the 68th minute. Pål Jönsätt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Bo-Erik Lindström notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bajen Fans Talanger's Georg Torsberg. Georg Torsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 87 minutes, Eric Beckström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bajen Fans Talanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Beckström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georg Torsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Göransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Norrahammar IFK were victorious despite being under pressure from Bajen Fans Talanger for much of the match.
