When Tor Ekeroth fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hjo BK's protests and gave Tor Ekeroth a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hjo BK's Tor Ekeroth got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match Torsten Lundström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Hjortberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Hjo BK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tor Ekeroth hit a great ball. Marcus Hjortberg came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Harsenal AIS's Sivert Axelsson. But to his dismay, Sivert Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Sivert Axelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Hjortberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st match minute, Harsenal AIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pär Apelqvist to maneuver through the defense. During the 35th minute of the match Tor Ekeroth completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tor Ekeroth a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Sivert Axelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Hjortberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ove Lindqvist in the 42nd minute of play. Jens-Ove Lindqvist spun around in front of the goal 46 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Hjo BK's goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sivert Axelsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcus Hjortberg could save by the left post. In the 56thth minute of the game Jens-Ove Lindqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hjo BK's Marcus Hjortberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jens-Ove Lindqvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Hjortberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Jens-Ove Lindqvist slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. Harsenal AIS's Sivert Lindholm was substituted for Sivert Vedholm. In the 63rd minute of the match, Jens-Ove Lindqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Hjortberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 63 minutes into the game, Svante Petersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hjo BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harsenal AIS the free kick. Svante Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Mikael Olenberg put in a rough tackle. In the 64th minute, one of Hjo BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hjo BK. The Harsenal AIS fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Harsenal AIS's Sivert Axelsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sivert Axelsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Marcus Hjortberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Hjo BK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Andreas Persson hit a great ball. Marcus Hjortberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Lindqvist in the 80th minute of the match. Filip Thedin's late challenge caught a Harsenal AIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filip Thedin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Filip Thedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sivert Axelsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Marcus Hjortberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jens-Ove Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Harsenal AIS's Jens-Ove Lindqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Hjortberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 94 in the game by Sivert Axelsson from a close distance when the talented Marcus Hjortberg managed to make a qualified save. Hjo BK's players were relieved. In the 96th minute, Jens-Ove Lindqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Hjortberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Harsenal AIS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
