Marko Sandell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Kielstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. John Kielstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Sandell having to interfere. The referee ignored Alinder IK's protests and gave Sören Bure a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Sören Bure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marko Sandell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arne Ekström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 89 minute of play.
