In a very dangerous position, a player in Hällefors fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Bengt-Åke Borre shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 9 minutes, Tim Wiman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hällefors and the Ryd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hällefors's Tim Wiman got a free kick in the 9th minute. Sten Almstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Bergendahl having to interfere. When John Kielstedt came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Kielstedt couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Kock in the 15th minute of play forced Ryd's goalkeeper Jan Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th match minute, Ryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Örtendal to maneuver through the defense. Lukas Örtlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Odin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Fanström's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Richard Fanström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Odin having to make a save. John Kielstedt struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Patrik Bergendahl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ryd. In the 32nd match minute, Ryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Åke Borre to maneuver through the defense. Hällefors's Richard Fanström got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ryd's zone, Rune Kock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Odin came out of the goal and Rune Kock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Bengt-Åke Borre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rune Kock came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Hällefors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Kock couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richard Fanström to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rune Kock during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rune Kock hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Richard Fanström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Ryd's John Kielstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrik Bergendahl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Sten Almstedt came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Almstedt couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ryd defense, Richard Fanström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Odin. The Ryd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Odin should have stopped the shot. If Tim Wiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Sten Almstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Bergendahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Rune Kock might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Odin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Kock ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Ryd's goalkeeper Jan Odin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Fanström. Hällefors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
