In the 11th minute of the match Vänersborg BF got a corner. FC Internazionale's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filip Lagerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Filip Lagerberg made a great header on Vänersborg BF's corner, it was just that FC Internazionale's Ludomir Czysta managed to reach the ball for a save. FC Internazionale's Ludomir Czysta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FC Internazionale from getting a goal against them. Ludomir Czysta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Berglund in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Tommy Ersman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludomir Czysta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Vänersborg BF's Fred Berglund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ludomir Czysta. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. After 34 minutes of play, FC Internazionale's Per-Arne Lidberg made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sigvard Browall was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Fred Berglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomir Czysta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Stigsson in the 44th minute of play forced Vänersborg BF's goalkeeper Sigvard Browall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Berglund in the 46th minute of play forced FC Internazionale's goalkeeper Ludomir Czysta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sigvard Browall was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the game, Vänersborg BF's Fred Berglund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludomir Czysta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Ludomir Czysta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Ersman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Internazionale's Ludomir Czysta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Pihlgren in the 70th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Urban Bohlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Ludomir Czysta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FC Internazionale getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alf Stigsson hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Stigsson got free with Sigvard Browall in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alf Stigsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Browall having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Vänersborg BF's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Olsson came free, but Sigvard Browall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vänersborg BF had played much better football throughout.
