Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hällefors's Börge Friberger started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harry Hedvall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Friberger in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hällefors's goalkeeper Patrik Bergendahl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Harry Hedvall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Börge Friberger's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Börge Friberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Hedvall having to interfere. Mölndal FC's Harry Hedvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fanström in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Dusett in the 11th minute of play forced Hällefors's goalkeeper Patrik Bergendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Mölndal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Fanström came free, but Harry Hedvall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rune Kock during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Hällefors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mölndal FC:s goal. In the 21st minute, Aaron Alkvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrik Bergendahl. The goal made the score 1-0. Håkan Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Håkan Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hällefors's zone, Ulf Burman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Bergendahl came out of the goal and Ulf Burman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Håkan Gunnarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Håkan Gunnarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hällefors booed when Mölndal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Håkan Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Patrik Bergendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Aaron Alkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Olov Dusett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olov Dusett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Patrik Bergendahl skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 45 played minutes Mölndal FC got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Sundberg. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Håkan Gunnarsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aaron Alkvist to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Mölndal FC's Håkan Gunnarsson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrik Bergendahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Börge Friberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Hedvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Dusett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrik Bergendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hällefors's zone, Håkan Gunnarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Bergendahl came out of the goal and Håkan Gunnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
