Olov Dusett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Filip Lagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Lagerberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mölndal FC's Harry Hedvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Berglund in the 19th minute of play. Urban Bohlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Urban Bohlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Urban Bohlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Vänersborg BF's goalkeeper Sigvard Browall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Alkvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Dusett in the 35th minute of play forced Vänersborg BF's goalkeeper Sigvard Browall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Hedvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urban Bohlin in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Urban Bohlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Hedvall was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Harry Hedvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaron Alkvist was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Urban Bohlin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Harry Hedvall, passed just outside the right post. In the 60th minute, Aaron Alkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sigvard Browall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olov Dusett went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Urban Bohlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Hedvall having to interfere. Sigvard Browall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Burman, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
