Sven-Arne Apelqvist started the match with the kick off. When Thomas Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Arboga IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Olsson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Olsson in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Sikström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Klas Harman took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Sikström. Peter Sikström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gösta Dahlquist got free with Robert Wydrych in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in St. Mellansjö FC's zone, Edward Kjellman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Sikström came out of the goal and Edward Kjellman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Arboga IK's Stig Modig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Sikström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Fredrik Arenstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arboga IK's Robert Wydrych proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Arboga IK from getting a goal against them. Sven-Arne Apelqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Robert Wydrych tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximilian Pihlwall during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arboga IK booed when St. Mellansjö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Dahlquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Arenstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Sikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Olsson in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Arboga IK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Olsson made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arboga IK's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Arenstedt came free, but Robert Wydrych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, Arboga IK's Thomas Olsson made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Sikström was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Sven-Arne Apelqvist suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of St. Mellansjö FC booed when Arboga IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. St. Mellansjö FC's Peter Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Olsson in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Maximilian Pihlwall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arboga IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximilian Pihlwall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Sikström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Olsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 69 minute of play. Per-Erik Karlsson charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Erik Karlsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, St. Mellansjö FC's Per-Erik Karlsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. Arboga IK's Stellan Häger shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Peter Sikström but with some difficulty. Alo Uudevald hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Thomas Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Sikström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. St. Mellansjö FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Olsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 92 minutes into the match, Arboga IK's Thomas Olsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Sikström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arboga IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
