Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rune Landin kicked off to start the match. Joakim Rolandsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Ian Skoglund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jonny Zachrisson scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Skoglund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Rune Landin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. IFK Red Bull's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Joakim Rolandsson scored to the left of an out of position Ian Skoglund, making the score, 2-0. In the 22nd match minute, IFK Red Bull was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiph Pihlberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Haeger in the 23rd minute of play forced IFK Red Bull's goalkeeper Ian Skoglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiph Pihlberg took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonatan Majman. Jonatan Majman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 31st minute, Filiph Pihlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonatan Majman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The supporters of Göteborg FC booed when IFK Red Bull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Landin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Göteborg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Landin came free, but Jonatan Majman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joakim Rolandsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Rune Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Majman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Jonny Zachrisson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Göteborg FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When Bengt Granström fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Göteborg FC's protests and gave Bengt Granström a yellow card for diving instead. Bengt Granström hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jonny Zachrisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ian Skoglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Dalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Skoglund having to interfere. Jonatan Majman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Landin in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Joakim Rolandsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Skoglund was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. If Joakim Rolandsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Otto Brummer fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Red Bull's protests and gave Otto Brummer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Otto Brummer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Jonatan Majman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 81 played minutes Göteborg FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Dalman. Johannes Björck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Jonatan Majman made a huge save. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for IFK Red Bull! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Göteborg FC. Joakim Rolandsson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ian Skoglund. 4-2. Joakim Rolandsson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ian Skoglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Göteborg FC. The supporters of IFK Red Bull booed when Göteborg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Friberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Boris Ahlstedt came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the IFK Red Bull fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Ahlstedt couldn't finish the play. Filiph Pihlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Jonatan Majman made a huge save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Göteborg FC fully deserved thier win.
