An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Torsberg in the 12th minute of play forced Siljansnäs's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Gästrike-hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilhelm Ödman to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Otto Dahlman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göran Häll was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jan-Ove Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Torsberg in the 31st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Siljansnäs's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Kullander came free, but Jan-Ove Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Göran Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Persson in the 53rd minute of the match. Gästrike-hammarby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Torsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Siljansnäs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Ove Lindström should have stopped the shot. Kjell Torsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Ove Lindström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Gästrike-hammarby booed when Siljansnäs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Gabrielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Siljansnäs's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Lindström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kjell Torsberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksander Persson in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Häll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kjell Torsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Kjell Torsberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Jan-Ove Lindström however easily saved by the left post. Dan Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Siljansnäs's Aleksander Persson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Göran Häll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Dan Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gästrike-hammarby were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
