Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Glenns Goa Gubbar's Tommy Sigman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Grönberg in the 15th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörgen Söderström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Markus Strand charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Markus Strand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vetlanda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Niklas Fredriksson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Jan Jonasson fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vetlanda's protests and gave Jan Jonasson a yellow card for diving instead. Glenns Goa Gubbar made a substitution. Edvard Soned replaced Joakim Lidström. The supporters of Glenns Goa Gubbar booed when Vetlanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
