Ian Petersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jörgen Mattsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valter Spets having to make a save. When Thomas Sjögren fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ian Petersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Dahlgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Sten Lövskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Spets having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Klågerup IK's zone, Jörgen Mattsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Lövskog showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After having played for 42 minutes, Olov Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Klitor IS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Ström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sten Lövskog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörgen Mattsson got free with Valter Spets in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Klågerup IK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sten Lövskog made the kick off in the second half. Jörgen Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Spets having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Sten Lövskog managed to get in a good position for a shot. Klitor IS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Lövskog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valter Spets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sten Lövskog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valter Spets having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Per-Arne Skytt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ian Petersson. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 69th minute, Carl Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, Klitor IS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Vester to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Sven-Ove Kullander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Lövskog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sten Lövskog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Viktor Dusett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ian Petersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viktor Dusett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ian Petersson made a huge save.
