Oscar Jönsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesper Larsfelt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Jönsson ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Black Label's Jörn Hellkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jörn Hellkvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jesper Larsfelt. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. FC Black Label were furious when Göran Malm was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 17 minutes into the game, one of FC Black Label:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 29 minutes into the game, FC Black Label's Jonas Klack nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesper Larsfelt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 34 minutes into the game, Staffan Svensson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Vargön IFK's Alex Söderkvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Jörn Hellkvist fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Black Label's protests and gave Jörn Hellkvist a yellow card for diving instead. 38 minutes into the match, FC Black Label's Egil Nordlander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jesper Larsfelt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Jörn Hellkvist made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Vargön IFK got a freekick which was hit by Evert Sandberg. A collision led to Vargön IFK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Åke Forsman hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Black Label booed when Vargön IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Sandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Egil Nordlander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Black Label's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vargön IFK the free kick. A collision led to FC Black Label getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Egil Nordlander hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, FC Black Label's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Söderkvist came free, but Arne Forsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Albin Alefors fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Black Label's protests and gave Albin Alefors a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes FC Black Label got a freekick which was hit by Albin Alefors. Arne Forsman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC Black Label booed when Vargön IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Forsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Jonas Klack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Nils Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vargön IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Kjell Abrahamsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vargön IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Black Label the free kick. In the 87th minute, Kjell Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mattias Malmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Magnusson in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Forsman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Black Label's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
