Oscar Wikander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johannes Torstensson having to make a save. The supporters of Fritsla booed when We Love Mondays was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tomas Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. We Love Mondays's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Olsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Bäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bertil Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Axel Damm helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Olsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sten Eriksson struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Johannes Torstensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fritsla. Fredrik Holmgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Torstensson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Sten Eriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fritsla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 63rd match minute, Fritsla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Petersson to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Kevin Josefsson in the 64th minute really tested Allan Bäck's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Johannes Torstensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Eriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Torstensson having to interfere. Bertil Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Allan Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Olsson in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Bäck saved Fritsla from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, We Love Mondays's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Eriksson came free, but Johannes Torstensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bertil Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. We Love Mondays's Alf Norberg got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 89th minute, Krister Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes, Jan-Olof Bergsten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fritsla and the We Love Mondays players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave We Love Mondays a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kevin Josefsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fritsla's Allan Bäck. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the We Love Mondays players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
