Josef Ahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Hedbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Arne Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Melander, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Mikael Berg's late challenge caught a Genesarets sjö Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikael Berg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Eksjö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Berg to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Genesarets sjö Fc's zone, Leonard Melander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Arne Åström came out of the goal and Leonard Melander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Leonard Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Arne Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mårten Malmberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Arne Åström. Genesarets sjö Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hubert Hedbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tobias Falck succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 27th playminute. Alexander Håkansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Josef Ahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hubert Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hubert Hedboms short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Josef Ahlquist to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tobias Falck scored 2-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josef Ahlquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hubert Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Arne Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Melander in the 43rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Hedbom got free with Josef Ahlquist in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaf Walmarsson struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Josef Ahlquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genesarets sjö Fc. Genesarets sjö Fc's Hubert Hedbom got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John Lind to make the kick off. Genesarets sjö Fc's Sven-Arne Åström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Genesarets sjö Fc from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Hubert Hedbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Ahlquist was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Björn Hermansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Ahlquist having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Eksjö IFK's zone, Hubert Hedbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Ahlquist came out of the goal and Hubert Hedbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute of the match Genesarets sjö Fc got a corner. Eksjö IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobias Falck ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mårten Malmberg hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Hubert Hedbom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josef Ahlquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Hubert Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Eksjö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Melander to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, Tobias Falck notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Eksjö IFK's Josef Ahlquist. Josef Ahlquist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Hubert Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Mikael Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tord Haraldsson hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Genesarets sjö Fc walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
