The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Folke Beneth struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Michel Kilman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Långaryd BK. In the 6th match minute, Långaryd BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Stray to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Folke Beneth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Kilman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Hornmyr IF's goal looked a bit too open when Akim Robakidze came free, but Michel Kilman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Långaryd BK's corner Folke Beneth fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Michel Kilman quite easily take care of the ball. Michel Kilman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Hornmyr IF's Krister Sjöberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute Thomas Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Kilman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Folke Beneth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Akim Robakidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Gabriel Soned was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hornmyr IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Långaryd BK the free kick. After 34 played minutes Hornmyr IF got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Soned. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peder Haegg during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Peder Haegg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gilbert Fridlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Sjöberg in the 44th minute of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolf Stray to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Lars Löfskog was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hornmyr IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Långaryd BK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hornmyr IF's Lars Löfskog got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Folke Beneth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hornmyr IF's Michel Kilman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lars Löfskog kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Hornmyr IF's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Beneth came free, but Michel Kilman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Kilman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Beneth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hornmyr IF's Michel Kilman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akim Robakidze in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Rolf Stray dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michel Kilman, 0-3. Greger Drake charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greger Drake the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Långaryd BK getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Greger Drake hit a great ball. Michel Kilman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Beneth in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Akim Robakidze recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michel Kilman. Akim Robakidze showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Michel Kilman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolf Stray went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Akim Robakidze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Folke Beneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Wiktor Strömqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Fridlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Jan-Erik Fågel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Fridlund having to interfere. Långaryd BK's Gilbert Fridlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Sjöberg in the 96th minute of play.
