Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Exelsior's Algot Skark started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Exelsior defense, Robin Fernkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredric Ros. The Exelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredric Ros should have stopped the shot. Exelsior's Fredric Ros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Kellbom in the 6th minute of play. Fredric Ros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Jansson went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Per-Arne Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Ros having to interfere. When Karl-Axel Andersson fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Exelsior's protests and gave Karl-Axel Andersson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Azemis FF booed when Exelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Azemis FF's Sebastian Jansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fredric Ros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Jörn Kellbom charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörn Kellbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Azemis FF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jörn Kellbom hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Albin Eriksson took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Sverker Nordmark to make any attempt to save it. When Azemis FF's Per-Arne Viklund in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Exelsior's goalie prevented a goal. Fredric Ros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Jansson in the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Exelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Andersson to maneuver through the defense. Fredric Ros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robin Fernkvist's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Fredric Ros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Viklund in the 39th minute of the match. Sverker Nordmark came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Exelsior's Albin Eriksson. But to his dismay, Albin Eriksson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Exelsior's Fredric Ros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Fernkvist in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Exelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Fernkvist came free, but Fredric Ros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robin Fernkvist was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Exelsior's goalkeeper Fredric Ros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Exelsior's goalkeeper Fredric Ros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per-Arne Viklund. Robin Fernkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Fredric Ros made a huge save. Jörn Kellbom hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Fredric Ros came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Azemis FF's Sebastian Jansson. But to his dismay, Sebastian Jansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. After some careless play in the Exelsior defense, Robin Fernkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredric Ros. The Exelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredric Ros should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Azemis FF's Svante Bergqvist got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Fernkvist got free with Fredric Ros in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fredric Ros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Exelsior's Karl-Axel Andersson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sverker Nordmark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Robin Fernkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Fredric Ros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 86 minutes, Karl-Axel Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Exelsior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Axel Andersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Algot Skark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Ros was a little too slow when Per-Arne Viklund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 3-7.
