Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jan-Olof Vidman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Linghed were furious when Stig-Ove Sillén was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Linghed fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Linus Skröder had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Carl Zander's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Exelsior's Carl Zander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Linus Skröder was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Eriksson in the 9th minute of play forced Linghed's goalkeeper Linus Skröder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linus Skröder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algot Skark in the 13th minute of play. Elliott Gallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Fredric Ros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linus Skröder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albin Eriksson went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Linus Skröder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algot Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Linghed's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Eriksson came free, but Linus Skröder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linghed's Linus Skröder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Eriksson in the 29th minute of play. Fredric Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Gallin in the 33rd minute of play. Sven-Edvin Hellqvist's late challenge caught a Linghed's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Edvin Hellqvist helped the player get up and apologised. 41 minutes into the match, Linghed's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Axel Andersson came free, but Linus Skröder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Skark in the 44th minute of play forced Linghed's goalkeeper Linus Skröder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Algot Skark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan-Olof Vidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Ros having to interfere. In the 56th minute of the match, Algot Skark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Linus Skröder saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Exelsior's zone, Elliott Gallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredric Ros came out of the goal and Elliott Gallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd match minute, Linghed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Exelsior booed when Linghed was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Holmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jan-Olof Vidman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredric Ros was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Linghed's Jan-Olof Vidman got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Elliott Gallin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linghed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliott Gallin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Linghed got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Wikander. Linus Skröder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Andersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Linghed's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Albin Eriksson scored to the left of an out of position Linus Skröder, making the score, 0-3. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jan-Olof Vidman sped through Exelsior's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fredric Ros. Mikael Jakobsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Linus Skröder. Linghed's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elliott Gallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fredric Ros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Exelsior had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
