In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Azemis FF's goalkeeper Sverker Nordmark, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Azemis FF getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Leif Öberg hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Azemis FF's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Hammarberg came free, but Sverker Nordmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milian Villaseñor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Arne Viklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sverker Nordmark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greger Hammarberg in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Azemis FF's Joacim Erserman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Joacim Erserman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Azemis FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Joacim Erserman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience held their breath when Egon Svensson in the 14th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Sverker Nordmark's left hand side. Azemis FF's Sverker Nordmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Jönsson in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Azemis FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Arne Viklund to maneuver through the defense. After a long run with the ball, Joachim Nyman did a trick in the 19th minute in front of Azemis FF's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-1. An impressive performance by Karlshamns AAK's Joachim Nyman! Robin Fernkvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Milian Villaseñor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sebastian Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milian Villaseñor having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Karlshamns AAK got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Norström. A collision led to Karlshamns AAK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alexander Käller hit a great ball. Sebastian Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milian Villaseñor having to interfere. Roger Busk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Milian Villaseñor made a huge save. Greger Hammarberg took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sverker Nordmark. Sverker Nordmark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Greger Hammarberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Nordmark having to interfere. After the first half Karlshamns AAK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Fernkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ture Jönsson got free with Sverker Nordmark in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Karlshamns AAK's Ture Jönsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Milian Villaseñor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Bergqvist in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Karlshamns AAK's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Fernkvist came free, but Milian Villaseñor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milian Villaseñor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Kellbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Karlshamns AAK's Fabiano de Souza was substituted for Joachim Nyman. Robin Fernkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Karlshamns AAK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Karlshamns AAK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
