After a defensive mix-up in Orsa Sturfajters's zone, Filiph Bjursell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Wiklund came out of the goal and Filiph Bjursell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomas Bäckman fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veinge IK's protests and gave Tomas Bäckman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute Ronny Berglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Tinglöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Veinge IK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tony Abrahamsson hit a great ball. A hard shot by Andy Svensson from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Otto Tinglöf's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Anders Jakobsson put in a rough tackle. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Orsa Sturfajters! The referee gave Veinge IK a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Einar Dahlberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Orsa Sturfajters's Peter Wiklund. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Roland Ålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veinge IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Roland Ålberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Wiklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dag Överman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Orsa Sturfajters's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dag Överman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otto Tinglöf having to make a save. Dag Överman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Otto Tinglöf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Torbjörn Kollberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Överman got free with Otto Tinglöf in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute Krister Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Tinglöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dag Överman to strike the kick off in the second half. Filiph Bjursell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Lindberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Veinge IK's goalkeeper Otto Tinglöf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Otto Tinglöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Överman in the 64th minute of the match. Veinge IK's Otto Tinglöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Överman in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dag Överman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otto Tinglöf was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Veinge IK's Otto Tinglöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Överman in the 72nd minute of play. Dag Överman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Otto Tinglöf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Filiph Bjursell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Veinge IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiph Bjursell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dag Överman in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otto Tinglöf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roland Ålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
