Ola Thedin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Örtendahl in the 31st minute of the match. Jens-Ola Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mark Vestlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mark Eliasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Vestlund in the 55th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Tomas Biörling in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Babylon Empire's Adrian Svanström. Kyrkbyns IF's Mark Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Bredberg in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kyrkbyns IF's Torbjörn Kruse got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 68 minutes, Mark Vestlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Babylon Empire and the Kyrkbyns IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Babylon Empire getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mark Vestlund hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Bernt Örtendahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kyrkbyns IF's Bernt Örtendahl in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernt Örtendahl in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ola Thedin saved Babylon Empire from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
