After a rather tough play, Latikberg's Ulf Wästerberg got a free kick in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Alex Alebäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mats Asplund. Latikberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Alebäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sylwester Brak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Ytterby got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Dalkvist. Erland Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylwester Brak having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Klas Lindqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Erland Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Gaztea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Mats Asplund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Latikberg's goalkeeper Mats Asplund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronny Dalkvist. Enzo Gaztea's late challenge caught a Latikberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Gaztea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Ytterby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Gaztea to maneuver through the defense. Mats Asplund made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Enzo Gaztea sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Alex Alebäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enzo Gaztea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Mats Asplund made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erland Ekström was the one to do the kick off. Ytterby's Sylwester Brak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Vallgren in the 52nd minute of play. Mats Asplund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Gaztea in the 58th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Ytterby's Ronny Dalkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mats Asplund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alex Alebäck came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ytterby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Alebäck couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Eric Vallgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Latikberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ytterby the free kick. If Enzo Gaztea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Alex Alebäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mats Asplund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Nyberg during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Jonathan Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Enzo Gaztea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Asplund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erland Ekström hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Kalle Kjellman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ytterby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalle Kjellman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Alebäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mats Asplund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ytterby's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
