Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tor Berglund started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Hugo Bremming notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hällefors RK's Kent Lindmark. Kent Lindmark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kent Lindmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Hult, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tor Berglund came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gert Bergqvist could save by the left post. In the 21st minute Hugo Bremming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Lindmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Lindmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Hult, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Folke Alström fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekebäck BK's protests and gave Folke Alström a yellow card for diving instead. Folke Alström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Hugo Bremming notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hällefors RK's Kent Lindmark. Kent Lindmark was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gert Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kent Lindmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Söderlund in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute Claes Engman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Lindmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulf Hult stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ekebäck BK's Hugo Bremming got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Lindmark made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Hugo Bremming sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th match minute, Hällefors RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Nyman to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Hällefors RK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gustav Eckegren hit a great ball. Ekebäck BK's Gert Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Berglund in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Hällefors RK's Kent Lindmark got control of the ball when Hugo Bremming tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikael Söderlund kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Hällefors RK's Tor Berglund fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 73 minutes into the match, Hällefors RK's Krister Tidéksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert Bergqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 74 minutes, Claes Engman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekebäck BK and the Hällefors RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Claes Engman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustav Eckegren scored 1-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gert Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ekebäck BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ekebäck BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
