André Lilja started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Siesta Key FC's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Johnsson came free, but Henning Josefsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Knut Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Josefsson having to interfere. Henning Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Johnsson in the 13th minute of play. Knut Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Knut Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Linus Sandwall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Arne Fastesson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Johnsson in the 31st minute of play forced Siesta Key FC's goalkeeper Henning Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, André Lilja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Siesta Key FC booed when West Bromwich Albion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Kråk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, West Bromwich Albion's goal looked a bit too open when André Lilja came free, but Arne Fastesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siesta Key FC's Henning Josefsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Siesta Key FC from getting a goal against them. André Lilja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to West Bromwich Albion getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Leif Lundberg hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Siesta Key FC's goalkeeper Henning Josefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörgen Petersson. The supporters of West Bromwich Albion booed when Siesta Key FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Fastesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 71 minutes, Linus Sandwall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siesta Key FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Linus Sandwall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Siesta Key FC's Linus Sandwall got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Knut Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Knut Johnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Josefsson was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Jörgen Petersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henning Josefsson was a little too slow when Knut Johnsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 90th minute, Linus Sandwall left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Siesta Key FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Siesta Key FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of West Bromwich Albion for a fine match.
