The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marko Biörkman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sture Sandström went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Allan Kruuse charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Kruuse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Knivsta United getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Allan Kruuse hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Sture Sandström put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Marko Biörkman. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Sture Sandström put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Marko Biörkman. In the 19th match minute, Knivsta United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Wiberg to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Sture Sandström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perspolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sture Sandström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marko Biörkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 minutes of play, Perspolis FC's Andreas Jakobsson made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marko Biörkman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute Sture Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Biörkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Åke Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Wiberg in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Knivsta United's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Sandström came free, but Marko Biörkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Marko Biörkman managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Perspolis FC's Sture Sandström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 63rd minute, Robin Hammarström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perspolis FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Marko Biörkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sture Sandström's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 68 played minutes Knivsta United got a freekick which was hit by Krister Lundhberg. After some careless play in the Knivsta United defense, Sture Sandström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Biörkman. The Knivsta United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Biörkman should have stopped the shot. Krister Lundhberg kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Wictor Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perspolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wictor Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marko Biörkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perspolis FC's Frank Termander was substituted for Wictor Gustafsson. In the 81st minute, Robin Hammarström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Knivsta United's Marko Biörkman got control of the ball when Sture Sandström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Konrad Rolfsson hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When Isak Arenius came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Knivsta United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isak Arenius couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Perspolis FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Knivsta United.
