Peter Hormaza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Sven Vedholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Arenstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Giroud's Jimmy-Floyd Udden got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes FC Giroud got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy-Floyd Udden. 12 minutes into the match, Sven Vedholm notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Giroud's Allan Arenstedt. Allan Arenstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ingvar Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Arenstedt having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, FC Giroud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zico Zakov to maneuver through the defense. Peter Hormaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Tunström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Linghed's Peter Hormaza got control of the ball when Sigvard Tunström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Allan Arenstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Botvidsson in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Reine Wikander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ingvar Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linghed's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Arenstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Sven Vedholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Arenstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Vedholm during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Linghed got a freekick which was hit by Sven Vedholm.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sigvard Tunström to make the kick off. Allan Arenstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ingvar Holmgren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. After 56 minutes, Felix Wassenius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Linghed and the FC Giroud players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Felix Wassenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Sigvard Tunström notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Linghed's Peter Hormaza. Peter Hormaza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Allan Arenstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sven Vedholm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Sven Vedholm recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Arenstedt. Sven Vedholm showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Henry Botvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linghed made a substitution. Edwin Sundström replaced Dan Blom. Peter Hormaza came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Giroud's Sigvard Tunström. But to his dismay, Sigvard Tunström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Fredriksson in the 87th minute of play forced Linghed's goalkeeper Peter Hormaza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linghed's Peter Hormaza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvard Tunström in the 94th minute of play.
