He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Michael Holm. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Michael Holm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thomas Asklund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Michael Holm skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Vänge BF getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Patrick Kämpe hit a great ball. Peder Skytt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Ekenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Asklunds short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Michael Holm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Örebro IF's Michael Holm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esbjörn Gunnarsson in the 40th minute of play. If Esbjörn Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vänge BF's Esbjörn Gunnarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Wilhelm Söder made the kick off in the second half. Michael Holm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Esbjörn Gunnarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänge BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Esbjörn Gunnarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Holm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peder Skytt made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Wilhelm Söder sent off a good shot on target. When Thomas Asklund, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Michael Holm was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 70 minutes, Henning Holmstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Örebro IF and the Vänge BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 minutes of play, Vänge BF's Thomas Asklund made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Holm was left in no man's land by his defense there! Esbjörn Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Holm having to interfere. The supporters of Örebro IF booed when Vänge BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilhelm Söder got free with Peder Skytt in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Thomas Asklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Thomas Asklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Holm was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Vänge BF were the better team. Vänge BF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
