After some careless play in the Sandared IK defense, Esbjörn Gunnarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mårten Westerstrand. The Sandared IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mårten Westerstrand should have stopped the shot. Thomas Asklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Apelquist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänge BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandared IK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vänge BF's Jens-Ove Apelquist got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Joar Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Örjan Willig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joar Alebäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Peder Skytt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Vänge BF's goalkeeper Peder Skytt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Willig. Mårten Westerstrand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Asklund went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Gunnarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mårten Westerstrand. Sandared IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esbjörn Gunnarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Örjan Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Sandared IK's Mårten Westerstrand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Sandared IK from getting a goal against them. Vänge BF's Thomas Asklund was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 60th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Vänge BF booed when Sandared IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Esbjörn Gunnarsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mårten Westerstrand. The goal made the score 0-7. If Thomas Asklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Eriksson during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute, Emanuel Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 71 minutes, Esbjörn Gunnarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vänge BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esbjörn Gunnarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Vänge BF getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Christian Törnkvist hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joar Alebäck in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peder Skytt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Asklund struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Mårten Westerstrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänge BF. Thomas Asklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Vänge BF booed when Sandared IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Esbjörn Gunnarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mårten Westerstrand was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esbjörn Gunnarsson in the 86th minute of play forced Sandared IK's goalkeeper Mårten Westerstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Wallengren's late challenge caught a Sandared IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Wallengren helped the player get up and apologised. Kenneth Josefsson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Sandared IK's Joar Alebäck got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Willig in the 98th minute of play forced Vänge BF's goalkeeper Peder Skytt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Vänge BF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sandared IK throughout the match.
