The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edvard Ekegren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Oskar Ryberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jan-Ove Ekeroth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Uno Josefsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aron Ödmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrik Hagberg. Stamford United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Victor Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvard Ekegren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Oskar Ryberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Edvard Ekegren notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Tun's Oskar Ryberg. Oskar Ryberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Tun's Henry Nordlander got a free kick in the 30th minute. Oskar Ryberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Ekegren in the 32nd minute of play. Stamford United's Edvard Ekegren got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th play minute Edvard Ekegren came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oskar Ryberg. 2-0. Henry Nordlander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Henrik Hagberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Bäckström to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Tun defense, Edvard Ekegren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oskar Ryberg. The Tun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oskar Ryberg should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Tun's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Ekegren came free, but Oskar Ryberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stamford United's Christoffer Löfgren got a free kick in the 64th minute. The supporters of Stamford United booed when Tun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrik Hagberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Victor Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edvard Ekegren scored 4-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oskar Ryberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Edvard Ekegren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oskar Ryberg was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute, Tun's Victor Söderberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tun's Ulf Bäckström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henrik Hagberg. That made the score 4-2 after 86 minutes of play. Edwin Hernström hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the game, Tun's Victor Söderberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrik Hagberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, Stamford United could leave the field as winners, despite Tun having more of the ball for most of the match.
