After having played for 28 minutes, Per-Oskar Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storgatan Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Oskar Strömbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Folke Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Oskar Strömbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfons Andersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Vallman having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Figeholm IK's Daniel Lundberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. Rune Vallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Sandström in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folke Sandström to strike the kick off in the second half. Rune Vallman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folke Sandström in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Lennart Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Figeholm IK's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Oskar Strömbom came free, but Rune Vallman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfons Andersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Vallman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfons Andersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Rune Vallman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bror Bergkvist in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Figeholm IK's Stig Ljungberg got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Ernst Lindström sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Figeholm IK's Rune Vallman didn't even have to move. If Per-Oskar Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Lingren in the 93rd minute of play forced Storgatan Warriors's goalkeeper Björn Haeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 played minutes Figeholm IK got a freekick which was hit by Egon Västerstrand. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Storgatan Warriors fully deserved thier win.
