Bengt Björk's late challenge caught a IF Fairplay Jackass's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Hubert Widberg made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Berg. Ludvika IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 29 played minutes IF Fairplay Jackass got a freekick which was hit by Sören Haglund. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ove Carlsson during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patric Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Thor Säfström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carl Söderberg to make the kick off. Sören Haglund was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
