In the 13th minute Nils-Åke Sjödin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Nyqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfrid Nyqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Joensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some careless play in the Munktown City defense, Kent Öberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Mellbad. The Munktown City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Mellbad should have stopped the shot. In the 20thth minute of the game Marcus Joensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Snake City FC's Gottfrid Nyqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Tage Wållander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snake City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tage Wållander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Marcus Joensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Munktown City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 31st minute, Kent Öberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kent Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Joensson scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gottfrid Nyqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kent Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Karl Mellbad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Snake City FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Munktown City were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Öberg to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Snake City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Jelm came free, but Gottfrid Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Kent Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Mellbad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Munktown City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
