The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Nilsson during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alf Söderquist's late challenge caught a Stjärtpillarnas IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alf Söderquist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Munktown City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Söderquist to maneuver through the defense. Baudelio Torrijo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Leif Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reşat Keyfer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Stjärtpillarnas IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Munktown City:s goal. Marcus Joensson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jan Pliszka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Joensson in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Stjärtpillarnas IK's Jan Pliszka got control of the ball when Marcus Joensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Nils-Åke Sjödin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Pliszka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Leif Abrahamsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Marcus Joensson made the kick off in the second half. Leif Abrahamsson had several of the Munktown City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Karl Mellbad as he didn't even see the shot coming. Leif Abrahamsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Mellbad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Abrahamsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Stjärtpillarnas IK's Jan Pliszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Jelm in the 61st minute of play. Munktown City's Nicklas Nilsson pulled a muscle in his leg after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. If Nils-Åke Sjödin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Leif Abrahamsson lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Karl Mellbad. In the 72nd match minute, Stjärtpillarnas IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Galle to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Abrahamsson in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl Mellbad saved Munktown City from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, Stjärtpillarnas IK's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Joensson came free, but Jan Pliszka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Abrahamsson in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl Mellbad, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jan Pliszka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Jelm in the 87th minute of play. Osvald Wahlström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jan Pliszka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Abrahamsson in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl Mellbad, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nils-Åke Sjödin kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Stjärtpillarnas IK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
