When Georg Pilgren came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hedekas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Pilgren couldn't finish the play. Mårten Söderlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Liljeström in the 25th minute of play. FC Madagaskar's Rudolf Malmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Georg Pilgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt Wallmark was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. FC Madagaskar's Bengt Wallmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Trillkott in the 35th minute of play. With his leg Bengt Wallmark managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Hedekas's Georg Pilgren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Georg Pilgren in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt Wallmark, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, FC Madagaskar's Bengt Wallmark got control of the ball when Georg Pilgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Georg Pilgren put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bengt Wallmark. The nice shot from Georg Pilgren in the 80thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bengt Wallmark had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Georg Pilgren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 100thth minute tested the skills of Bengt Wallmark when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
