The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eric Benett's late challenge caught a Rampekärr-Falköping IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Benett helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for meldo! Alfons Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, meldo's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Lindgren came free, but Per-Olof Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Jan-Erik Malmström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Olof Granberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Rampekärr-Falköping IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Staffan Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. Rampekärr-Falköping IF's Martin Ramirez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Sander in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to meldo getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Pontus Hjelm hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Fribäck in the 30th minute of play forced meldo's goalkeeper Per-Olof Granberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rampekärr-Falköping IF's Jan-Erik Malmström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Per-Olof Granberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Martin Ramirez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mats Målare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Malmström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Per-Olof Granberg made a huge save. If Alfons Fribäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Ramirez came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by meldo's Torsten Hammarbäck. But to his dismay, Torsten Hammarbäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henric Lindgren to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Mats Målare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. meldo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rampekärr-Falköping IF the free kick. Jan-Erik Malmström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Olof Granberg. meldo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Torsten Hammarbäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Ramirez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 minutes, Elias Hedvall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rampekärr-Falköping IF and the meldo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Elias Hedvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Olof Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Lindgren in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Patrik Fågel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Torsten Brodin fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rampekärr-Falköping IF's protests and gave Torsten Brodin a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Rampekärr-Falköping IF got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Brodin. Jan-Erik Malmström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfons Fribäck struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Per-Olof Granberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rampekärr-Falköping IF. After 79 played minutes meldo got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Hammarbäck. After 82 played minutes Rampekärr-Falköping IF got a freekick which was hit by Anders Adelsköld. When Alfons Fribäck fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rampekärr-Falköping IF's protests and gave Alfons Fribäck a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee ended the match the Rampekärr-Falköping IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
