Gösta Forsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gösta Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kennet Markusson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Sven-Olof Ahlroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonny Kielstedt having to interfere. Gösta Forsberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 37 minutes into the match, Vegetarianerna United's goal looked a bit too open when John Blomberg came free, but Gösta Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, John Blomberg notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Vegetarianerna United's Gösta Forsberg. Gösta Forsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gösta Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Markusson in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Markusson in the 47th minute of play forced Vegetarianerna United's goalkeeper Gösta Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vegetarianerna United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IzmirFK were winning 0-5.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Olof Ahlroth to make the kick off. John Blomberg hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jonny Kielstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Ahlroth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
