The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gösta Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 11 minutes of play, Vegetarianerna United's Sven-Olof Ahlroth made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sivert Lindsten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvar Lekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sivert Lindsten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Nyberg's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Sivert Lindsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Ahlroth in the 20th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Hekto IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vegetarianerna United:s goal. If Johan Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Sven-Olof Ahlroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sivert Lindsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vegetarianerna United's Birger Nyberg pulled a muscle in his leg after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 31 minutes into the game, Birger Spets was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hekto IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vegetarianerna United the free kick. When Ludwig Magnusson fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vegetarianerna United's protests and gave Ludwig Magnusson a yellow card for diving instead. The Hekto IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vegetarianerna United were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Sven-Olof Ahlroth made the kick off in the second half. Sven-Olof Ahlroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Lindsten having to interfere. Arne Jönsätt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sivert Lindsten made a huge save. If Sven-Olof Ahlroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Vegetarianerna United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hekto IF.
