Hubert Bergqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8th minute, Kalle Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Karl-Johan Sävström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Peter Kollberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Tor Glad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvard Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Rolfstorp IFK's Edvard Björkdahl got control of the ball when Edvard Hedkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Rolfstorp IFK booed when Skövde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Skövde's Kent Westerstrand seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kent Westerstrand the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Skövde protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kent Westerstrand had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 22 minutes into the game, one of Skövde:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 35 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Martinsson. 39 minutes into the match, Mats Vallander notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Skövde's Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hubert Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Sävström in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edvard Hedkvist to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tommy Pihlblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rolfstorp IFK's Karl-Johan Sävström got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Karl-Johan Sävström came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Rolfstorp IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Johan Sävström couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute Peter Kollberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Herbert Martinsson fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skövde's protests and gave Herbert Martinsson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Skövde's Herbert Martinsson got a free kick in the 68th minute. Peter Kollberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Johan Sävström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Bergqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rolfstorp IFK's Tommy Pihlblad got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Rolfstorp IFK's Peter Kollberg in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skövde's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rolfstorp IFK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
