Vilhelm Dalström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kevin Berglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Fredric Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilhelm Dalström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 36th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Lyrestad's corner Harry Ek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vilhelm Dalström quite easily take care of the ball. In the 39th minute Walter Josefsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Dalström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lyrestad booed when Giffarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute Jens-Ove Botvidsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Dalström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vilhelm Dalström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Josefsson during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lyrestad getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Walter Josefsson hit a great ball. After 71 minutes of play, Giffarna's Leonard Ström made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredric Runeberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Niclas Beneth's late challenge caught a Lyrestad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niclas Beneth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Niclas Beneth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilhelm Dalström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 78th minute of the match. Giffarna's Vilhelm Dalström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Lyrestad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Giffarna throughout the match.
