Spectators: 7455 (Terracing: 5592, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) Walter Sillén started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Edvard Hedkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Martin Lekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walter Sillén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Bergqvist having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Roland Abrahamsson. If Vilhelm Dalström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harald Mossberg took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Martin Lekberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Hedkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Glad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute Walter Sillén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Lekberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvard Hedkvist in the 30th minute. Giffarna's Martin Lekberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Glad in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Walter Sillén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Karl Gerdberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Bergqvist was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 37 minutes of play, Skövde's Edvard Hedkvist made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Lekberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walter Sillén charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walter Sillén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Giffarna getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Walter Sillén hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Vilhelm Dalström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Walter Sillén kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hubert Bergqvist. That made the score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. Hubert Bergqvist was a little too slow when Harald Mossberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 64th minute, Tor Glad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skövde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The supporters of Skövde booed when Giffarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Sillén didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Tor Glad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Martin Lekberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oskar Salkvist lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Giffarna! Tor Glad walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Martin Lekberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Glad, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
