Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tor Glad took the kick off in the first half of the match. Harry Ek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hubert Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lyrestad's Walter Josefsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hubert Bergqvist. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. The supporters of Skövde booed when Lyrestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Niklas Vennerdal fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyrestad's protests and gave Niklas Vennerdal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Skövde booed when Lyrestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Vennerdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes, Skövde's Tor Glad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fredric Runeberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skövde reached it. In the 19th match minute, Lyrestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Hubert Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Erik Dahlberg in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 28th minute Sven-Erik Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes, Sven Odeen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skövde and the Lyrestad players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the match, Skövde's goalkeeper Hubert Bergqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Josefsson. 42 minutes into the match, Walter Josefsson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Skövde's Hubert Bergqvist. Hubert Bergqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hubert Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harry Ek was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Josefsson during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edvard Hedkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredric Runeberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The referee ignored Skövde's protests and gave Roland Abrahamsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Skövde got a freekick which was hit by Roland Abrahamsson. Jens-Ove Botvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Skövde's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Olsson came free, but Hubert Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Skövde's Roland Abrahamsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Roland Abrahamsson off the ground. 93 minutes into the match, Walter Josefsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Bergqvist. Skövde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Josefsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Sven-Erik Dahlberg scored 6-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Lyrestad were the better team. Lyrestad's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
