The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Byron Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Bob Maniez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polar Ice Caps fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 8 minutes of play, Polar Ice Caps's Ralf Nyberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Byron Dobson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 15 minutes, Maximiliano Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polar Ice Caps's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Eron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17th play minutes Maximiliano Eron shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Byron Dobson and just under the crossbar into goal. Maximiliano Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Eron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Byron Dobson having to make a save. Sivert Blomquist's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henry Blom firmly grabbed it by the left post. Maximiliano Eron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Byron Dobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximiliano Eron to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Björnbröderna's zone, Tord Lundin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Byron Dobson came out of the goal and Tord Lundin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Maximiliano Eron reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Byron Dobson. The goal made the score 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tord Lundin got free with Byron Dobson in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Maximiliano Eron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximiliano Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byron Dobson having to interfere. Byron Dobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Eron in the 70th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Eron dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Byron Dobson, 0-5. If Maximiliano Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polar Ice Caps's Tord Lundin got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Byron Dobson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6. After 84 played minutes Maximiliano Eron could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-7 into the left cross. Polar Ice Caps's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
