But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Jonsson couldn't finish the play. Rutger Eskilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Esbjörnsson in the 37th minute of play. Dennis Nilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Andy Viklund made a huge save. Sven Stenkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dennis Nilsson got free with Andy Viklund in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patric Lingren was the one to do the kick off. Nissafors FK's Andy Viklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Nilsson in the 51st minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Nissafors FK's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Lingren came free, but Andy Viklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Dennis Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The kewi fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Tage Jonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute.
